It has been my honor to serve as President of Manhattan School of Music since 2013, working alongside our extraordinary and dedicated Board of Trustees, Artistic Advisory Council, International Advisory Board, Alumni Council, our Faculty Council and President’s Council.

Over the course of the 2018–19 academic year, this extraordinary institution marked its Centennial, celebrating a remarkable first century while at the same time looking towards the promise of an inspiring future for MSM. In the aftermath of that milestone year, beginning in early 2020, the School pivoted – as we all did – successfully navigating a global health crisis and emerging from it stronger than ever. Please enjoy my President’s Letter, which traces the arc of that first 100 years and relays all the ways that today’s MSM is truly exceptional.
